Amy and Kevin

I finally have my computer back and running. Sorry for the delay guys!!
Last Saturday, Liesa and I had the pleasure of photographing Amy and Kevin’s wedding. This was a little more personal for me because I have watched Amy grow up for the past 10 years. It was hard to believe she was getting married!!
The ceremony was held at the Mount Joy Church of God in Mount Joy. Now, I have been to a ton of weddings and this by far was one of the most beautiful ceremonies I have seen. Amy and Kevin are very strong Christians and you can tell their love for the Lord from this ceremony. Kevin chose to wash Amy’s feet to symbolize that he would always be there for her in her walk with Christ. I kept hearing guests as they were leaving commenting on how beautiful it was. After they processed, a slide show was shown of the 2 of them growing up. It was a really nice touch!
Once the guests were cleared out, I took Amy and Kevin down the back alleys to do some fun shots of just them.
Later we headed over to the Gathering Place for the reception. Once dinner was served and the cake was cut, the younger ones got up for a little dancing. It was a fun, beautiful and emotional day for everyone. Congrats guys!! Here is your slideshowI did no enhancements to Amy’s eyes. They are truly this blue!!

Something for me…and you.

Ok, so here it finally is! I decided that I wanted to do a shoot for me. No pressure or deadline. Just do whatever I wanted. So, I got a hold of one of my favorite couples to be my models. Jennie and Noah were married last May and we have become very good friends. So they were up for whatever I wanted to do. This shoot was also to show that even after your wedding, you can get dress back up again and not be rushed. To be able have great photos with out the pressure to get to the reception.
I wanted a great location that would work for my idea. I e-mailed Mara and Judy at the Lancaster Arts Hotel and they were very excited to have me come and use the hotel for this shoot. Everything was shot using their rooms, lobby and hallways.
Since this was my shoot, I didn’t want Jennie and Noah to have to worry about anything. So, I also contact a few bridal salons for veils and dresses. I had a custom french veil made for Jennie at
Beach White Bridals in Lancaster. Her dress I got at Weddings by Paulette. They were very good about helping me find the perfect dress for Jennie. What about flowers? Stacia from
Petals and Beans made us a few bouquets to use that went perfectly. I e-mailed her the pics of the dress and she went from there. They were all so helpful in making this shoot what it was.
I know it sounds like a big promo right? I just wanted to thank all the people who played a huge part in this…Jennie, Noah, Katie, Scott, Audrey and Des!
If you are interested in doing an After Session, drop me an e-mail. No pressure, just fun!
So without further delay…..

Christine and Justin….Married

What a most perfect day!! Saturday Katie and I went to York for Christine and Justin’s wedding. We met the guys at Justin’s parents house which was oh so conveniently located right next to the church!! Their house was so amazing. We went nuts with all the great places to shoot! Normally, we don’t get to hang out much with the guys, but we had a about an hour with them and had sooo much fun! They didn’t mind getting a little dirty.
After the guys were finished, we headed next door to the church where Christine was finishing getting ready. We took a little bit before the ceremony to do some shots of the girls. Christine had a place in mind later for “formals” so we didn’t spend too much time, but I was so excited with the shots we got.
They had a beautiful ceremony. I was thinking, how pretty the sun was coming through the windows…it looked magical….oh, that was smoke!! The candles seemed to be burning more than the oil in them….so the sanctuary was slowly becoming very hazy….they were put out and it cleared up a bit. So, there is a little bit of a soft glow to those pics….
Later we went to another family members “estate” to do the family formals which I was all for. I love when brides want to shake it up a bit and not do the traditional church formals. We wandered around there for a while and found great places to shoot Christine and Justin alone.
Because they allowed for so much time in between the ceremony and reception, we had plenty of time to get there for cocktail hour. They held their reception at the Country Club of York. Everything was beautifully decorated! Christine chose to have her colors Tiffany blue and white and everything had that as an accent. They had a candy bar in the corner, which I used for a lot of rings shots. Their first dance was choreographed which I am seeing more and more….and the dinner was fantastic!! Their cake was one of the most delicious that I have ever had…I’ll let you know who it was when I find out! We had such a good time!! Thanks guys! Here is your slideshow

It’s here

I have no excuse now! The mail just came and in it was my bracelet.
I have it on my left wrist right now……I am off to a wedding in a few hours and we will see if I come home with it in the same place.
They say it takes 21 days to break a habit. I know it will take me longer and I accept that. Kobe decided that he was going to do it too. I know that is a lot to ask of a 7 year old…he wants to do it though since this is something he stuggles with too. I will let you know when my full 21 days are over….

Barbara Ann and Michael

Sunday, Katie and I traveled close to Philly for Barbara Ann and Michael’s wedding. We met the ladies at Barbara Ann’s parents house while they got ready. As soon as we walked in, Julianne, the niece and flower girl greeted us. She was such a little princess! She saw Barbara Ann’s shoes and immediately put them on and started walking around in them. I could just eat her up!
Then the ladies got in the limo and headed for the church. Katharine of Sienna was one of the largest catholic churches I have seen. There was no need for decorations, it was so beautiful. I always try to be very discreet during the ceremony, but Michael and Barbara Ann always spotted me and flashed me a smile. They were just so cute and so excited to be getting married.
After a full mass and a few family photos, we went to a little meditation garden for the wedding party photos. We had to dodge a family picnic, but got great shots anyway. Then we were off to the reception at the William Penn Inn in Blue Bell. Everything was so elegantly decorated, matching Barbara Ann’s personality. Their first dance was so refreshing to see. Lessons had to have been taken. I could see Michael talking to Barbara Ann to make sure she knew what was coming next. The night then moved very quickly and the party really got started after dinner. Katie and I were a little thrown off when all of a sudden this song came on and people were zooming all over the dance floor pumping their arms. We had to dodge a few folks b/c they were coming from all angles. Here it turned out to be the “Mummer’s Strut”. I guess we haven’t been to Philly enough to know better!! But it made for a great laugh! Hope you have a wonderful time in Greece! Here is your slideshow and a few of my favorites.

Michael checking out his ring…I love it!

Dione and Boonta

I met Dione and Boonta in Lancaster today for their engagement session. I tried to keep it short and in the shade as much as possible because it was just that hot!! Luckily we beat the rain! I said to them, ” are you up to walking a bit?” after seeing Dione’s shoes. I think I need to put a disclaimer on my site for the sessions saying ” Please be advised, you will be walking and you will get dirty on this trip!!” But, they were ok with it. I think I was the one who got the dirtiest!!
Here are a few from this afternnoon.
