Happy Halloween!!

I am not a big holiday decorator. But for some reason this Halloween, I thought I was Martha Stewart. What gave me the urge to carve a pumpkin, I don’t know. I knew how this would end up….Kids start out wanting to help and as soon as you tell them to scoop out the pumpkin….”Ewwww! I’m not touching that!” And I have boys! Not only do we have to carve a pumpkin, I thought, “Why not make a cool one?” I let Kobe pick out the design from this little book we got that came with all the tools to help you carve your masterpiece. He couldn’t pick an easy one, well, it wasn’t the hardest, so I shouldn’t complain. But I knew that with those little saws they give you I was bound to break something off. I did! And I swear there was something wrong with my pumpkin. Because in all the years that we had hollowed pumpkins growing up, I never had one shred like spaghetti. So here is a small slice of Halloween in our house….luckily you can’t see the little pin holding the skull head together after I broke it off…

Misty and Brian…married

Saturday, Katie and I met Misty and Brian at Cameron Estates
once again for our last wedding of the season!! The day started out rainy and changed the plans for the outdoor ceremony. We started out in the main house while the girls got ready and then headed over to the carriage house for the ceremony. Even though it was held inside, it was still beautiful! This was the first time I had seen the unity cup instead of a candle. Nice touch!
After the ceremony, we took the family and the wedding party away from the guests to do formals and some fun shots of just Misty and Brian. Then it was back to the reception where Dennis from FM 97 was DJing. The party was in full gear once dinner was served. Misty and Brian both work in the entertainment industry and had many radio celebs on hand! It was great to finally put the faces to the voices we hear everyday. Thanks guys for letting us share in your special day! Here is your show and a few of my faves!

I had to use Gino’s tattoo for this!

Nicole and Kevin

Sunday, I met Nicole and Kevin in Harrisburg for their engagement session. It was a little chilly down near the river, so we went into the city. I can’t remember when I laughed so much during a shoot! These two had me cracking up with picking on each other and the jokes. We had soooo much fun! I can’t wait for the wedding! Here are just a few from the day!

NYC

Last week, I went to NYC for Photo Expo plus. I went with my friend Desiree and there we met up with a whole crew of photographers for dinner at The Park. What an incredible experience to be seated at a table with about 24 for the best wedding photographers in the country. (note…I have no pics of this….) I’ll see if I can snag some from my friend Jeff.
Thursday we headed over to the trade show to check out new “toys” and products for the business. We were so tired from walking the city from the day before, we rested before we went out for another GTG with even more photographers. I only took a few shots from the trip….like I said, I will get some up here soon that are not mine….Des and her flamingo from the Shootsac booth.2 of my greatest friends…. Desiree
and JasonCrazy Joel!

Kelly and Andy….married

Saturday, Katie and I met a very nervous Kelly in Lancaster at a family friends house while she got ready. Just like any wedding day, time flew by so fast, we hurried through portraits to get to the church in time. After a perfect ceremony, we headed over to Cameron Estates
for the reception and for Kelly and Andy to spend sometime getting their formals done. The weather was soooo incredible and the sun lighting up the leaves on the trees was killer! We finished up and headed into the carriage house for dinner and dancing. Steve from Occasion’s DJ
was great to work with again!
Have fun in Jamaica guys!
Here is your show!

Stevie and Andy…married

I have been looking forward to Stevie and Andy’s wedding for a while now. Stevie and I have formed a friendship ever since their engagement session. She is a avid blog watcher of not only me, but other photographers and she keeps me posted on things she thinks I might be interested in.
Their wedding was held at Andy’s family Orchard near Gratz. Katie and I were greeted by the cutest cat which we affectionately named Fred. We were informed we could take him home if we really wanted to….tempting….
What a beautiful place this was for a wedding! There were so many incredible places to shoot! My head was spinning with possibilities. Stevie and Andy decided to see each other before the wedding and have all their photos done. It was very windy and the bridesmaids were freezing! But they hung in there.
At the start of the ceremony, Stevie and her Dad were escorted in a (wish I knew the year) Camaro. It was awesome because you could hear them coming before they even got up the hill! The service was held in front of an arbor that Andy’s Dad built and was finished with amazing flowers from Kreations By Kris in Herndon.
Once the ceremony was over and the family formals done, we still had a ton of time, so Stevie suggested we keep shooting! She didn’t even care the whole time if her dress got dirty. She just told me to do my thing. Love Ya!!
Then we headed off to Kevin’s Place for the reception. There was a corner set up specifically for the kids so they had something to do. A TV, crafts, and someone to keep an eye on them. What a great idea!! But, they pretty much took over the dance floor once the music really started to pick up! Boogie Knights kept them going!
Here is your show and some highlights!

I love this shot of Stevie. She was trying to read her letter Andy gave her and the wind just wouldn’t quit.

Dara and Kevin

Later on Sunday, I met Dara and Kevin at Millersville University for their engagement session. This is where they both met during Grad class and thought it would be nice for the session to be here. We walked around a lot looking for some great places to shoot even if it meant climbing a few things! Thanks for putting up with my requests! Here is a sneak peek!
