Carly Rae Jepsen came to visit the Kiss FM studio on Saturday and I was lucky enough to photograph.

This year, I had the opportunity again to photograph the Uplifting Athletes Gridiron Gala. This amazing event was put on by the help of the always fabulous JDK Group and Mike Miller of Mixed up Productions. I stood in amazement as the crowd was able to raise over $15,000 in 5 minutes. I am so lucky to be able to be a part of an industry where professionals come together to help one another in times of need.
Right now is one of those times. Jen Burgess-Thompson has ovarian cancer. She is in the fight of her life with this awful disease.
She has gone through all types of chemo and surgeries and her body is not taking to them. Dr’s have given her 12-18 months, but she is not giving up. There is a clinical trial at the Mayo clinic and has a hefty price tag of $63,000. She has been accepted to go, but is only half way to her $$ goal.
Jen is only 37 years old. She has two young sons who need their mother. I am asking for your help. Everyone’s help.

Most of us are blessed with our health and knowing that we will probably wake up everyday to see our kids and family. Let Jen be able to do that too, or at least have the chance.

Where have we been? I know, it has been so long since we posted. For that, I apologize.
Katie and I left mid January to head to New Orleans for a few conferences, time with our favorite photography friends and what pretty much ended up being a food tour of the wonderful, crazy, beautiful town!
We walked and walked and just shot everything we saw. I am putting only a few of the images capture, as I have way too many to post. If you ever get the chance to go to New Orleans, go. I know I am going back!

I put together something from almost ever portrait session, wedding and event from this past year, REALLY fast!
What an amazing year! I can’t wait to see what 2012 has in store!!
